[Look at all the fish we caught...and fried up...and ate!]
[Ben waiting for John and his boat]
[No fish, but a beautiful evening on the lake!]

Well, we didn't catch any fish ourselves, but while we were waiting for John to come pick us up we did score some fried walleye and northern. A group of friendly fellow campers had a fish fry and ended up catching and cooking more than they could eat. So they were kind enough to donate the leftovers, which were quite extensive, to the two scraggly looking bums that looked like they were hungry. We were very appreciative and the fish was absolutely delicious! John came and picked us up at the dock in his boat and we put out a few lines. We trolled around and didn't catch anything but a couple of small "green bass"...some people call them weeds. Even though the fishing was unsuccessful, the relaxing cruise around the Pelican Lake during sunset was a refreshing change from huddling in the tent avoiding mosquitos.
